• The slurry or fluid mixture enters the hydrocyclone tangentially at high velocity, creating a spiral motion.
• This swirling motion generates a centrifugal force that pushes heavier particles outward toward the inner wall of the conical body
• Lighter fluid and fine particles move upward through the central vortex and exit through the top outlet.
